Can You Give Me Free Stuff?

After you leave Help Island, you will find an entire world full of free stuff. I get asked a lot if I have anything that a person can have before they leave. Mostly it's weapons; guns, knifes, swords and the like. I have to say, that I'm not fond of these items in RL, except for their functionality or practicle purposes.

Mentors generally have a lot of free things to give. We've been around a while and accumulated a ton of stuff. Some mentors are more than willing to provide weapons, cars, motorcycles and various other luxury items. I on the other hand do not, or should I say, rarely do. There's nothing worse than having a new citizen going to the mainland and shooting up everyone at the Welcome Area. Granted, the script function has been removed in these areas now, to cut down on the griefers that use to frequent them, but it's still none the less disturbing. To me it's like giving a two year old a loaded gun in real life.

New citizens are like two year olds. They are new, excited and want to experience everything they can within the first few hours or their rezzing. Can I give you free stuff?, yes I can. Will I? Well that depends on you and how you present yourself to me. I'll give you clothing, that's for sure, but that's about all. No trinkets, no weapons, not automobiles. I like to offer and am not fond of those who beg for items.
